2022 Santa Clara University Viewbook

2022 Undergraduate Viewbook
In late 2021 I proposed to the Art Director at Santa Clara University that we needed to rebrand the undergraduate enrollment campaign. It was created in 2015 and had been stagnant since then. After receiving approval from our team, I approached Admission with a proposal to re-design the Viewbook and all the supporting materials in the campaign. We started the process with 2 concepts in December 2021. By March 2022 we had a direction locked in and I started work. We hired a copywriter, team of photographers, student workers and models, and I began prototypes of the Viewbook. I also helped direct the copy for the booklet. The goal was to make it more student focused, with an emphasis on campus life rather than statistics.

In May 2022 I coordinated and art directed the 3 day photo shoot for the viewbook with the help of other marketing team support staff. I also found an illustrator who had the style we wanted for some of our spreads. While I was finalizing the design, I sourced print shops that had the paper we wanted in house, and sent out RFQs. Once I negotiated prices as low as I could, I presented the bids to admissions and got their sign off on a print shop. Once the design was signed off on, I sent it to print, and coordinated delivery.
